Sandy G Phillips-Long is a Healthcare Genetics doctoral student at Clemson University’s School of Nursing, as well as  a 2019 NCSE Fellow. She lives in upstate South Carolina where she teaches high school science and performs NCSE Booster Club activities. As an advocate for the importance of learning science to support health, Phillip-Long's research aim is to contribute to the improvement of genetic education.
