Chandler Tawney is a seventh-year educator teaching honors and AP biology in Michigan's L'Anse Creuse Public Schools' Math, Science, and Technology Program. She is passionate about biology curriculum and creating her own NGSS-centered storylines. In 2023, she was named Michigan's Outstanding Biology Teacher of the Year from the National Association of Biology Teachers as well as High School Teacher of the Year from L'Anse Creuse Public Schools. She currently serves on the Michigan Association of Biology Teachers' Board of Directors and as a national AP biology mentor/reader. When she is not busy in the classroom, she enjoys quality time with the ones she loves and appreciates the beauty of biology in all things.
