NCSE board member Jo Handelsman elected to the National Academy of Sciences

NCSE board member Jo Handelsman

NCSE is pleased to congratulate Jo Handelsman, a member of NCSE's board of directors, on her election to the National Academy of Sciences, in recognition of her distinguished and continuing achievements in original research.

Handelsman is Director of the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery as well as a Vilas Research Professor and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Professor, at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Handelsman previously received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring from President Obama in 2011 and was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2019.
