Archaefructaceae, which dates from 125 million years ago, is thought to be the first member of the plant group angiosperms. Almost every plant food source humans use — wheat (the source of bread and pastas), rice, corn, fruits — is an angiosperm. Most of these angiosperms have been significantly changed by domestication from their wild varieties.
